Day 4
The last days on the island, at your own pace: the spa, the beach, deep-sea fishing or a bicycle ride along the coast. The resort team will help arrange anything you wish.
On request, a day in Stone Town, the old heart of Zanzibar and a UNESCO World Heritage Site: carved doors, spice markets, narrow lanes and the sunset over the harbour.
05
Day 5
On request, a boat trip to the coral reefs: snorkelling or diving in clear water among tropical fish, and in the evening a sail on a traditional dhow as the sun sets over the Indian Ocean.

Three days of safari from sunrise to sunset with your private driver. Return to the lodge for lunch or have a picnic prepared by the lodge in the middle of the savannah, and end the day at the pool above the watering hole.

Day 13
After breakfast, a short flight to Kilimanjaro. A personal assistant meets you at the VIP Lounge with Fast Track and check-in support, and in the evening your business-class flight home.
ARRIVAL IN ZANZIBAR
Your journey begins with a business-class flight via Addis Ababa. At Zanzibar Airport, airport representatives with a name sign meet you before the immigration desk and take care of the visa and formalities. After collecting your luggage, your host is waiting in the arrivals area. A private Toyota Alphard takes you along the coast — about an hour, 55 km — to The Residence Zanzibar. Your Presidential Pool Villa opens onto a terrace with a private pool and the Indian Ocean beyond. The rest of the day is for rest: a first swim, a late lunch and dinner by the ocean.
- Meet-and-greet and visa assistance at Zanzibar Airport
- Private transfer in a Toyota Alphard
- Check-in to the Presidential Pool Villa
SLOW DAYS AT THE RESIDENCE
The first days on the island are for settling into its rhythm. Mornings start with yoga or a swim in your private pool, afternoons belong to the beach and the shade of the palms. Cycle along the resort's paths, book a treatment at The Residence Spa, or simply watch the tide change the colour of the lagoon. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included, with restaurants of international and Zanzibari cuisine to choose from.
- Rest at the villa and on the private beach
- Yoga, fitness and The Residence Spa
- Full board at the resort's restaurants
STONE TOWN AND SPICES
For those who want to see the island beyond the resort, the hotel can arrange a private excursion to Stone Town. Its maze of lanes holds carved wooden doors, old merchant houses, the House of Wonders and busy markets where cloves, cinnamon and nutmeg are sold by the handful. On the way, a spice farm shows how the island earned its name of the Spice Island. The day ends with sunset over the harbour before returning to the villa.
- Private excursion to Stone Town (on request)
- Spice farm visit
- Sunset over the harbour
REEFS AND A DHOW AT SUNSET
The waters around Zanzibar are among the clearest in East Africa. With the resort's dive and water-sports team you can head out to the reefs for snorkelling or diving among corals, turtles and shoals of tropical fish. In the evening, a traditional wooden dhow takes you out onto the ocean for sunset — a quiet hour on the water as the sky turns orange and pink.
- Snorkelling or diving on the coral reefs (on request)
- Boat trip with the resort's team
- Sunset sail on a traditional dhow
THE ISLAND AT YOUR OWN PACE
These days have no fixed schedule. Spend a morning at The Residence Spa, try deep-sea fishing with the resort's boat team, ride bicycles along the palm-lined paths or take a private dinner on the beach. Everything can be arranged at the resort, and full board means there is nothing to plan except how to spend the day.
- Spa, yoga and beach days
- Deep-sea fishing or a boat trip (on request)
- Private dinner by the ocean
FLIGHT TO THE SERENGETI
At 06:00, after breakfast, a private transfer takes you to Zanzibar Airport for the 08:00 flight to the Serengeti, with a change of aircraft in Arusha — standard practice for local airlines. At 10:40 you land on the Serengeti airstrip, where your host is waiting. From here a private driver and safari vehicle stay with you for your entire time in the park, and you plan the game drives together. After check-in at the Four Seasons Safari Lodge, the first drive heads out into the savannah as the heat of the day eases.
- Flight Zanzibar → Serengeti via Arusha
- Private driver and vehicle for the whole stay
- First evening game drive
DAYS IN THE SAVANNAH
Game drives are allowed from dawn to dusk, and your private driver plans them around you: an early start for the soft morning light, a midday break at the lodge, or a full day in the park with a picnic lunch prepared by the Four Seasons kitchen. The Serengeti is home to the Big Five, and every drive is different. Back at the lodge, the infinity pool and viewing decks look out over the watering hole, where animals come to drink at sunset.
- Daily game drives with a private driver
- Picnic lunch in the savannah prepared by the lodge
- Sunset at the pool above the watering hole
KILIMANJARO AND THE WAY HOME
After a last breakfast in the savannah, a transfer takes you to the Serengeti airstrip for the 11:00 flight to Kilimanjaro. On arrival at 12:20, a personal assistant meets you and takes you to the VIP Lounge: Fast Track through formalities, help with check-in and a quiet lounge with snacks and drinks while you wait. At 19:10 your Ethiopian Airlines business-class flight departs via Addis Ababa. Behind you are two weeks of Africa: the Indian Ocean of Zanzibar and the endless plains of the Serengeti.
- Flight Serengeti → Kilimanjaro
- VIP Lounge with a personal assistant and Fast Track
- Business-class flight home
